New Rome Clothing is the initial brand of 1919 Designs LLC, an upstart clothing design company founded by three lifelong friends from Brooklyn.  At the heart of New Rome are two key concepts: intelligent design and artistic freedom. Our goal is to seek out local, talented designers and help them bring their artistic vision to market.  By ensuring the artistic freedom of the designer throughout the design process, we hope to create an outlet of artistic expression which produces unique, irreverent and thought-provoking fashion.

Inspired by our cultural and historical consciousness and motivated by the desire to contribute our own ideologies to T-shirt design, we created New Rome in efforts to introduce a new brand of fashion that the socially and fashionably conscious consumer would value. New Rome’s first line of T-shirts focuses on several political, cultural, and religious icons and ideologies. Through design concepts which embrace ambiguity, originality, and subtle social commentary, we attempt to challenge the expectations of the consumer with regards to both the aesthetics and meaning of clothing.
